MELISSA PADHAM-MAASS (Artistic Director)
Melissa received her early dance training at the Dancer’s Studio in Warwick, NY under the direction of Lucinda Henry. Melissa has been performing both in NYC and around the country with Forces of Nature Dance Theatre since 2005 and Darrah Carr Dance since 2006. In 2008 Melissa co-founded Isis Movement Company and has since presented work at various venues including Dixon Place, CPR,Triskelion Arts, Built on Stilts Festival in Martha's Vineyard and 60x60 Dance at the Winter Garden Theater. Melissa holds a BFA with honors from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College (SUNY) and an MSc in Dance Science from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Her research from Laban was presented at the IADMS conference in Seattle Washington, in October 2013 and published in the Journal of Dance Medicine and Science.

RACHEL DONEV
Rachel Donev grew up in Boca Raton, Florida where she began dancing at the age of 8. She studied at Boca Ballet Theatre under the direction of Dan Guin and Jane Tyree where she performed in many classical ballets, including Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Giselle, Paquita, as well as many contemporary and modern works. During her training, she worked closely with world renowned choreographers and professional dancers such as Linda Maybarduk, Christopher Fleming, Pattie Obey, Paula Young David and Dawn Scannell. Julie Eicher has danced with Dayton Ballet, Nashville Ballet II, Houston Grand Opera, Contemporary Dance Theater of Cincinnati and currently dances with Kate Thomas' Ballet Neo. She has performed work by Twyla Tharp, Susan Marshall, and Martha Graham, and has created work for both the ballet and theater departments at the University of Cincinnati. Since arriving in New York, she has danced with Eglevsky Ballet, Staten Island Ballet, New York Theater Ballet, Continuum and most extensively, Ballets with a Twist.

Claudia Germuga began studying contemporary dance in her hometown of Batavia, New York before pursuing her classical training at the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education under the direction of Jamey Leverett. In 2014 Claudia received her BFA in Dance at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. While at Tisch, Claudia was selected to train and perform at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Salzburg, Austria. Most recently she was a participant in Springboard Danse Montreal's 2014 program. She is a certified classical Pilates instructor and teaches at Equinox, Uptown Pilates, and Henry Street Pilates.

In the summer of 2010, she interned with contemporary ballet company Ballet X and in the summer of 2011, she was hired to work for Walt Disney World as a character performer. In 2012, Arianna was accepted into the Arsenale della Danza, under the direction of Ishmael Ivo to study 6 months in Venice, Italy and toured their production of "Biblioteca del Corpo" throughout Veneto, Italy and Sao Paulo, Brazil. In January 2013, Arianna was selected to go to The Wien Konservatorium in Vienna, Austria and The Centre of National Dance in Paris, France to learn and share Forsythe Technologies under the direction of Douglas Becker. Most recently in the summer of 2014, she was an educational specialist at New York State Summer School of the Arts. AMANDA HILL
Amanda Hill has trained privately with Natasha Bar starting at the age of 8. Along with the excellent training she received from Natasha, Amanda attended various summer programs including The Rock School, NYSSSA, Miami City Ballet, Boston Ballet, Kaatsbaan and the School of American Ballet. Amanda has also competed in ballet competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix, where she was awarded 1st place in the Senior division semifinals. Amanda also competed in New Jersey Dance Festival where she placed and was asked to perform in the Gala alongside professional dancers. To further her education, Amanda attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia as a ballet major on presidential scholarship and graduated with honors. While attending college and working towards her BFA Amanda has performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet in their productions of George Balanchine, ;The Nutcracker, (2010, 2012), La Fille Mal Gardee, and Peter Pan, as well as joining the company on their tour to the National Arts Center in Ottawa, Canada. After graduating college Amanda joined BalletFleming in Philadelphia, where she is currently a company member. She has danced principal roles in many of their productions including the title role in “Snow White”. Amanda is thrilled to be joining Artisan Dance Company in their inaugural show!

Barrington Hinds is from West Palm Beach, Florida. He began his training at the School of Ballet Florida under the direction of Marie Hale. Barrington holds a BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase College and has also trained at the Taipei National University of the Arts during a semester abroad in Taiwan. He has worked professionally with VERB Ballets, the North West Professional Dance Project, and performed in the ensemble of the national tour of Twyla Tharp’s Broadway show, Movin’ Out, where he understudied the lead role of Tony. Hinds was also honored as a finalist for the Clive Barnes Award for young talent in dance for his performance in "Stager Lee," a section in Stephen Petronio's Underland. He has worked with leading choreographers including Laurie Stallings, Edgar Zendejas, Sarah Slipper, Helen Pickett and Thaddeus Davis. Barrington is currently dancing for the Stephen Petronio Company, which he’s been a member of since 2008. In addition to dancing, Barrington has joined the staff at Ballet Tech, Eliot Feld's ballet school in New York City, as well as becoming a faculty member of the renowned Blue Lake Fine Arts summer dance program.

Soon after graduation in May of 2013, Quincie made her move to the city where her NYC performance debut was in a self-choreographed work. She has since then had the opportunity to perform in various ways which includes site specific work with Mark Dendy Projects, Buggé Ballet's tour to the Festival Fringe in Scotland, closing Reggie Watt's show at Town Hall, starring in a dance film by Orange Grove Dance, and taking part in a flash mob choreographed by Sidra Bell. Quincie continues to choreograph as co-artistic director of Q&A Productions, a fiscally sponsored dance company where she and long-time friend Annalee Dare Harlow create and perform together throughout NYC and its boroughs.

TARA LYNCH
Tara Lynch, originally from Ohio, trained with South Dayton School of Dance for many years. She came to New York to earn her B.F.A. in dance performance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She has had the joy of working with artists including Nathan Trice, Jonathan Campbell, William McClellan Jr., Jim Sutton, and Pamela Pietro, as well as being coached by Jolinda Menendez and Irina Sirova. She is currently creating her own work, dancing for CEMA dance, teaching yoga and practicing Reiki.

JACQUELINE STEWART
Founder and choreographer of Jaxon Movement Arts,Jacqueline holds a B.F.A. in Dance from The University ofIowa and a comprehensive certification in Stott Pilates . A native to the City of Chicago, Ms. Stewart has performed for such companies as Forth Worth Ballet, Chicago Repertory Ballet, Thodos Dance Chicago, and The Seldoms. Jacqueline recently danced for Chet Walker in the Broadway Presentation of Anastasia. Stewart has choreographed for Thodos New Dances, Chicago Takes Off, Harvest Dance Festival, Duets for my Valentine and more. In 2010, Stewart became the 10,000 Dollar Grand Prize Winner of The A.W.A.R.D. Show! 2010: Chicago granted by The Joyce Theatre Foundation of New York for her choreographic work. Ms. Stewart has more recently showcased her work at the Joyce Soho, Jennifer Muller The Works, Reverb Dance, The Ailey Citi Group Theatre, The Wild Project New York and Triskaleon Arts Center. She has produced multiple concerts in collaboration with other Chicago dance makers including Jessica Miller Tomlinson. Madison Ballet and Chicago Repertory Ballet have most recently commissioned Jacqueline’s work.

JEROME L. STIGLER
Jerome L. Stigler, a native of St. Louis, MO. began his training at the Katherine Dunham Children’s Workshop and the Center of Contemporary Arts. He has a BFA in Dance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an MFA in Dance from the University of Iowa. Mr. Stigler has received scholarships to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Milwaukee Ballet, and American Dance Festival. He has taught and choreographed for numerous schools throughout the United States. Mr. Stigler has performed with the dance companies of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC), Albany Berkshire Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Columbia City Ballet, Florida Dance Theatre, Dallas-Fort Worth Ballet, St. Louis Ballet, Charlotte Adams & Dancers, Walt Disney World, Wylliams/Henry Contemporary Dance Company, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, VQ Productions, Mountjoy Productions, Balance Dance Theater, and Jennifer Muller/The Works. Currently Mr. Stigler is teaching throughout NYC and dancing with the companies of Douglas Dunn & Dancers, Viewsic Expressions, and 360° Full Circle Dance Company and The Von Howard Project.

Mr. Stigler has performed with the dance companies of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC), Albany Berkshire Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Columbia City Ballet, Florida Dance Theatre, Dallas-Fort Worth Ballet, St. Louis Ballet, Charlotte Adams & Dancers, Walt Disney World, Wylliams/Henry Contemporary Dance Company, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, VQ Productions, Mountjoy Productions, Balance Dance Theater, and Jennifer Muller/The Works. Currently Mr. Stigler is teaching throughout NYC and dancing with the companies of Douglas Dunn & Dancers, Viewsic Expressions, and 360° Full Circle Dance Company and The Von Howard Project.
SAMUEL SWANTON
Samuel Swanton, originally from Holden Maine, is a Brooklyn based movement and performance artist. He attended The Walnut Hill School and holds a BFA from NYU's Tisch School. Currently Samuel can be seen performing with Dusan Tynek Dance Theater, Pat Catterson, GREYZONE/Lindy Fines, and is on faculty at Mark Morris Dance Center. He is a 2014 Artist in Residence at Chez Bushwick.
